"17 settlements were under attack. russian troops shelled Sloviansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Zalizne, Toretsk, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhovo, Donetske, Raihorodka, Semenivka, Shcherbynivka, Ocheretine, Bohooavlenka, Novobakhmutivka, Soloviove, Starodubivka, Pokrovske," the statement says.
It is noted that as a result of these shellings, civilians were killed and wounded. The NPU reports 35 civilian facilities to be destroyed: residential buildings, refractory coke plant facilities, thermal power plant premises, and a trolleybus fleet.
The service also reported that the enemy fired from planes, Uragan multiple rocket launchers, artillery, tanks, small arms, and air-to-ground missiles at the Donetsk region.
"The occupiers are deliberately destroying the civilian population and infrastructure and preventing the provision of assistance to people. Thus, in Avdiivka, rescuers who went to put out the fire came under fire," the statement said.
The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws or customs of war).

To recap, the Donetsk region's Sloviansk, critical to Moscow's objective of capturing all of Ukraine's East, was shelled with Iskander missiles. The russians troops are targeting civilians and critical infrastructure objects to cut off the humanitarian aid supply to the East and deprive civilians of living conditions and their lives. The authorities urge people to evacuate and not to return home yet.
