New record: IT army has attacked more than 800 russian resources in a week
The IT army attacked more than 800 russian online resources in a week (May 23-29), and a record number of russian online services were attacked.
The press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported.
In particular, in the last week, they attacked:
- Banks. Customers of many russian banks could not use online banking and conduct the desired financial transactions from a smartphone.
- Microfinance organizations. Because of the attacks, it was not possible to make micro-loans.
- Stock exchanges. russian stock exchanges had to cut off access abroad to withstand the onslaught of cyberattacks and continue to operate.
"Following the exchanges, we had to hide behind a geo-block from DDoS-attacks of the RuStore application store, which russia launched last week. We remind you that this is the russian analog of Google Play," the Ministry of Finance said.
- Insurance services. The attacks put online insurance services. The russians failed to insure themselves.
- russian media. Traditionally, over the weekend, it has been more difficult for russians to use Kremlin propaganda through cyberattacks on regional press and television sites.
