The fate of all Europeans in the coming decades is currently being decided in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during his speech before the Latvian Parliament, Rubryka reports.

The head of state thanked Latvia for its determination to stand up for justice in the war waged by russia.

"The Stingers from Latvia arrived in Ukraine at 6 pm on February 23. The weapons we received from you started saving our people from the first hours of russia's full-scale aggression.

While many hesitated and sought excuses, you were among the ones who acted and continue to help us to the maximum. In defense, support for sanctions, humanitarian aid, and extremely warm attitude to our citizens who found temporary refuge in Latvia," the president emphasized.

Zelensky stressed that the Latvian people perceived the struggle for freedom as their own.

"You perceive our struggle for freedom as your own. It is true. Because right now, the fate of all of us, Europeans, is being decided in Ukraine.

It is the force of arms in the war that russia has launched against our state, Ukraine, and at the same time, against the freedom of all its neighbors, that determines what will dominate Europe in the coming decades:

  • or it will be justice for every nation,
  • or russia will be able to make 'occupation,' 'repression,' 'deportation,' the key words for different peoples,"

Zelensky addressed the Latvians.
