Ukrainian ministries report on funds raised through UNITED24
During the first two weeks since the Ukrainian government launched the UNITED24 platform, Ukraine's National Bank's accounts received $36,716,364. The Ministry of Defense reported allocating $31,789,546.37, and the Ministry of Healthcare has given $207,657.62.
The Ministry of Defense will procure 35,674 helmets and 30,492 bulletproof vests for Ukrainian defenders.
The Ministry of Healthcare will spend more than $200,000 on six artificial lung ventilation (ALV) devices for emergency medical institutions in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
"Our paramedics are fighting for the lives of thousands of civilians on their front. EMTs are the first to come to the aid of those affected, so it is essential to provide them with everything they need. We allocated the raised donations for procuring ALV devices that support patients' breathing functions during transportation for medical institutions. They will help hundreds of people in critical condition get to hospitals alive. We are grateful to everyone who contributes to saving Ukrainian lives," said Viktor Liashko, the Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine.
Funds collected for the Rebuild Ukraine direction of $250,340 are insufficient to restore the damaged objects. Therefore, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine assigned the account to accumulate them. These donations will be used primarily to restore critical infrastructure.
UNITED24 has partnered with the consulting and auditing company Deloitte Ukraine, which is part of its international network. Deloitte Ukraine will audit the general report by the ministries every quarter.
