Ukraine "doesn't trade its citizens, territories or sovereignty," President's Office advisor says

russia continues to spend a lot of resources trying to prove to the world its right to kill Ukrainians, but Ukraine doesn't trade its territories, people, and sovereignty.

The adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podoliak, stated this on Telegram.

"I want everyone to understand that nothing is over yet. russia is spending a lot of resources to prove to the world that russians have the right to kill Ukrainians and won't receive a full punishment for it. That is why pro-russian lobbyists in Europe are starting to raise their heads. Therefore, we must continue to fight in all directions," he said.

Podoliak said that yesterday the information agenda included only the oil embargo and russian war crimes, and now "certain political mouths" are offering us a new plan: a ceasefire, a frozen conflict, and the surrender of some territories for peace.

"It's amazing what someone can offer to protect their comfortable feed on social media from bad news and resume business with russia. 'We want to return to the old, pre-war way of life. Agree to some compromises," you can read this in some Western eyes,'" said Podoliak.

In this context, he stated that Ukraine wouldn't take part in such a discussion and "doesn't trade its citizens, territories or sovereignty."

"There can be no talk of freezing the conflict," said an adviser to the Office of the President.

According to him, any conflict freeze is a war postponed and is already large-scale, bloody, and prepared by the aggressor.

"Any war ends at the negotiating table, and this one will be no exception. But negotiations will be possible only when the parties are ready to agree. russia needs to start soberly assessing the situation. It is unlikely that statements of concessions, saving face, or freezing the conflict will contribute to this," Podoliak said.

He stressed that no one was interested in the long war and the food crisis, recalling that the shortest way to end the war was weapons, sanctions, and financial assistance to Ukraine.

"Everyone gave Ukraine from three days to several weeks. The Ukrainians defended Kyiv and liberated three regions. Our troops have been completing the liberation of the fourth region. Today, the same people offer us to give russia the east and the south. Thank you for the advice, but we will probably take help with weapons," the adviser to the Head of the President's Office added.
