Kalush Orchestra puts up Eurovision award and famous pink bucket hat for auction

Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra, 2022 Eurovision winner, has put up for auction a figurine from the competition; the money will go to help the army

Rubryka reports, referring to the Instagram announcement of the band's soloist Oleh Psiuk.

In addition, the bandleader also put up for auction his pink bucket hat, in which he performed at a competition in Turin.

The sale was organized by Psiuk together with a TV presenter and volunteer, Serhii Prytula.

All the money raised will go to the Serhii Prytula Foundation, which has been helping the army for more than a year.

Psiuk's hat, which immediately became a fashion trend, is sold for 5 euros or 200 hryvnias.

The winner will be chosen randomly from all participants in the auction.

For each donation of 5 euros, the participant receives a mark in the draw.

So the more donations, the more marks and the chances of winning accordingly.

The Eurovision statuette will go to the one who will pay the most for it. And you can donate even in cryptocurrency.

The auction will end on May 28 at 19.00.

As reported by Rubryka, Psiuk announced that the Kalush Orchestra would sell a statuette at auction, which he was awarded the winner of Eurovision-2022. He will transfer the money to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Kalush Orchestra took first place and brought Ukraine's third Eurovision victory in history.

Viewers cast 439 votes, which immediately moved the band to 1st place in the standings.

8 points – Northern Macedonia, Malta

7 points – Serbia.

According to the jury results, Ukraine was in 4th place.

Immediately after the performance, the Kalush Orchestra's soloist called on the world to support Mariupol and help the Azovstal defenders.

Later, the Eurovision-2022 organizers commented on the call of the Kalush Orchestra to support Azovstal and Mariupol.

"We understand the deep feelings around Ukraine at the moment and believe that the statements of the Kalush Orchestra and other performers who express support for the Ukrainian people are humanitarian, not political."

Two Eurovision contests have already been held in Kyiv, after Ruslana's victory in 2005 and after Jamala's in 2017.
