Canada to hand over artillery ammunition to Ukraine

The Canadian government will hand over more than 20,000 155-mm artillery ammunition to Ukraine and other equipment and ammunition to support the Ukrainian military.

An official statement of the Ministry of Defense of Canada, released on Tuesday, announced this.

"This ammunition will be fired from guns, including M777 howitzers that Canada and our allies have donated to Ukrainian forces," the statement said.

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announced additional assistance to Ukraine.

The ministry specified that these munitions were worth 98 million dollars and were previously obtained from the United States. Work is underway to speed up the delivery of this critical aid to Ukraine.

As of February this year, Canada has reportedly provided defense aid to Ukraine with artillery, drone cameras, high-resolution satellite images, and other military support.
