"No betrayal": FM on France's position on Ukraine's accession to the EU
Despite recent statements from France that the EU may delay Ukraine's accession to the European Union for several years, discussions are ongoing. In particular, Paris supports its Ukrainian partners by supplying arms and promoting sanctions against Russia.
RBC-Ukraine reports, referring to the Instagram Live of a writer and serviceman Valerii Markus with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
"In short, there will be no betrayal. Neither with France nor with another country. No one can break us or force us to do what we don't want. Whatever the headlines, France gives us weapons and promotes sanctions. We discuss Ukraine's path to EU membership and how long it will take. We are actively discussing this with them," he said.
He also added that everyone should consider the situation fully, and France should not be "shamed" through the headlines.
