Self-proclaimed ‘mayor’ of occupied Enerhodar injured in blast

In the morning of May 22, 2022, the self-proclaimed 'mayor' of occupied Enerhodar, Andrii Shevchyk, and his bodyguards were injured in a blast at the entrance to his house.

The relevant statement was made by Enerhodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov on Telegram.

"Internet resources are spreading information about the blast, which occurred on Kurchatova Street in Enerhodar in the morning of May 22, 2022. All the circumstances of the incident are being investigated, but we have received an accurate confirmation that the self-proclaimed head of the 'people's administration', Shevchyk, and his bodyguards were injured in the blast," Orlov wrote.

In his words, all of those injured were taken to hospital with traumas of varying severity.

According to Orlov, none of other residents in that house were affected. Thus, Orlov assumed it was the collaborator who had been waited for.
