Swiss Embassy resumes work in Ukraine
The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the return of the embassy to Ukraine after 2.5 months of forced closure.
This is stated in a statement on the ministry's website.
"This decision is based on an in-depth analysis of the security situation in the Ukrainian capital," the statement said.
During the first stage, only Ambassador Claude Wild and a team of four will return to Kyiv. The embassy will also have local staff.
"The physical presence of the Swiss ambassador and his team will facilitate contact with the Ukrainian authorities. In the coming weeks, the embassy team will also address key issues such as coordinating reconstruction, development, and humanitarian aid projects and media coverage in Ukraine," the Swiss Foreign Ministry said.
