UNITED24 Reports: In the First Week, Over USD 25 Million Were Transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine Accounts

Fundraising platform UNITED24 was launched on May 5. During the first week, USD 25,804,580 was transferred to the accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) assigned to the three ministries: 

  •       The Ministry of Defence received USD 25,762,896.72 for "Defenсe and Demining"
  •         The Ministry of Health received USD 25,191.34 for "Medical Aid"
  •         The Ministry of Infrastructure received USD 16,491.94 for "Rebuild Ukraine"

In addition, USD 735,673 was collected via the partner fund Ukraine House DC Foundation: USD 506,456  for "Medical Aid," USD 229,217 for "Rebuild Ukraine." 

USD 362 379 was collected in cryptocurrency via the payment company Whitepay. USD 37,248 for "Defenсe and Demining," USD 319,872 for "Medical Aid," and
USD 5,259 for "Rebuild Ukraine."

The funds will be transferred to the NBU accounts and included in the report afterwards.

"During the first day after the platform's launch alone, it was visited by over 220.000 unique users. Donations in support of Ukraine came from 72 countries," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation. "Most proactive donors sent contributions from the United States, Great Britain, France, Canada, Germany and Ukraine as well. We thank everyone for the support and continue working on the platorm's further development!" 

During the first 7 days, funds have been accumulating in the NBU accounts. Now they will be distributed by the ministries to the most important needs of Ukraine. The first report by the ministries will be published on May 19th on the platform's website u24.gov.ua

UNITED24 has partnered with the consulting and auditing company Deloitte Ukraine, which is part of its international network. Deloitte Ukraine will audit the general report by the ministries on a quarterly basis.
