The EU to pay Ukraine the second tranche of €600 mln by May 20

The European Commission on Thursday unveiled an action plan to help Ukraine export its agricultural products, given the ports blocked by russia.

The commission's press service reports.

The European Commission has outlined an action plan to create "routes of solidarity" so that Ukraine can export grain and import the goods it needs: from humanitarian aid to animal feed and fertilizers.

Despite the immediate efforts of the EU and its member states to facilitate the crossing of the border between Ukraine and the EU, thousands of cars and trucks are waiting on the Ukrainian side for permission to cross the border. The average current waiting time for cars is 16 days, and at some borders, up to 30 days. Even more, grain is still stored and kept in Ukrainian silos, ready for export.
