The US House of Representatives supports $40 bln in aid to Ukraine

The United States House of Representatives has voted in favor of an additional $40 billion for Ukraine

AFP reports, citing a voting document.

According to the publication, the US House of Representatives voted to send Ukraine a $40 billion aid package.

This came after President Joe Biden warned that funds to help Kyiv repel russia's invasion were likely to run out in a few days.

The Senate will consider the aid package by the end of the week.

Note.

To recap, the US Department of Defense announced the provision of security assistance to Ukraine in the amount of up to $150 million.

The aid package includes:

  • 25 thousand 155-mm artillery shells;
  • 3 anti-artillery systems AN/TPQ-36;
  • electronic equipment for suppression of interference;
  • spare parts for equipment.

It was announced that on Tuesday the House of Representatives will consider allocating $40 billion in assistance to Ukraine.
