"With Emine Dzheppar we were in Borodianka & Irpin this morning. I am shocked at the senseless destruction caused by the Russian aggression but I am impressed at the resilience of the Ukrainian people. We, CoE, stand with Ukraine," Pejčinović Burić said.
Dzheppar published a photo of the visit, noting the all-around responsibility to punish those responsible for large-scale atrocities by russian troops in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
To recap, the Council of Europe has set up an expert group to assist the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in investigating war crimes.
Pejčinović Burić earlier called for investigating the atrocities of the russian military in Bucha and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
