Zelensky to address G7 leaders
The leaders of the G7 countries will hold a video conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, May 8, said German government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann.
СNN reports.
"German Chancellor (Olaf Scholz – ed.) will hold the third video conference with his G7 partners since the beginning of the year," Hoffmann said.
Hoffman noted that May 8 was "the historic date of the end of World War II in Europe."
"He will cover current issues, including the situation in Ukraine. President of Ukraine Zelensky will take part and report on the current situation in his country," she said.
Germany currently chairs the G7. In addition, the G7 member countries include Canada, France, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
