Japan to freeze assets of 140 russians
Japan will freeze the assets of 140 russians under Japanese restrictions against russia because of its invasion of Ukraine.
The statement came from Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Thursday after meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in London, Reuters reports.
He also said Tokyo would extend a ban on exports to russian military producers.
Kishida added that now was the time for the G7 leaders to strengthen their unity.
Earlier, the Japanese prime minister said the country would use nuclear energy to reduce its dependence on russian energy.
