Captain Sviatoslav Palamar, Deputy Commander of the Azov Regiment, addressed President Volodymyr Zelensky

Rubryka reports, referring to Palamar's Telegram.

He stressed that the president should take care of the wounded soldiers.

"It is the third day that the enemy has broken into the territory of Azovstal. Heavy bloody battles continue.

The defenders have been fighting for 71 days with the overwhelming forces of the enemy.

Once again, the russians violated the promise of a truce and didn't allow the evacuation of civilians, who continue to hide in the plant's basement.

We call on the world community to evacuate civilians, and I personally appeal to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to take care of the wounded soldiers who are dying in agony from inadequate treatment.

Give the opportunity to pick up the bodies of soldiers so that Ukrainians can say goodbye to their heroes.

Respond appropriately to a critical situation where the enemy does not adhere to any ethical norms, conventions or laws, destroying people in front of the world, guided by permissiveness and impunity," the Deputy Commander of the Azov Regiment called.

As Rubryka reported, on May 3, russian invaders stormed the Azovstal plant in blockaded Mariupol, defended by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to Palamar, the occupiers are just now trying to break into the plant. Before the assault, russian aircraft bombed the plant.

"We were bombed all night, two civilian women were killed, and now Azovstal is being stormed," the deputy commander said.

Defenders of Mariupol also told the UP verbatim: "We know that the president is informed about the situation in Mariupol and he keeps his finger on the pulse. Therefore, we expect drastic action from him, because the situation is very difficult."

To recap, after the partial evacuation of civilians from the territory of Azovstal, the russian occupiers fired on the territory of the Azovstal plant on May 2.

Civilian and Ukrainian defenders are hiding there.
