Zelenskyy thanked Johnson and Britain for helping Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the United Kingdom for their support and assistance to our country
Rubryka reports, referring to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
"First, I would like to thank the leader of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, and all the people of the United Kingdom. For the words we hear. For the actions we see. For the support we feel. For the help we really get. For the victory we will definitely get together!" Zelenskyy noted.
"On February 24, we proved that our partnership is not just on paper. Our partnership is on the battlefield. For common ideals and a common future," he said.
"These ten weeks have proved that it's not scary to have such an evil enemy against you if you have such a good friend next to you. Such as Great Britain. And leader Boris Johnson," said the President.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also addressed the Ukrainian parliament separately.
As reported by Rubryka, on Tuesday, May 3, the Prime Minister of the British Government Boris Johnson addressed the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
"In the coming weeks, we will send you Brimstone, anti-ship missile systems, as well as armored vehicles to evacuate people from occupied territories and threatening areas… We have a new support package of 300 million pounds," Johnson said.
The British Prime Minister stressed that he sought to strengthen Ukraine to such an extent that no one would ever dare to encroach on it.
He expressed confidence that Ukraine would win the war and that stories of its victory would be told from generation to generation.
