Britain to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth £300 million
The United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 300 million pounds, which will include anti-ship missile systems, radars, and drones.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson stated this in an online address to the Ukrainian Parliament, Ukrinform reports.
He noted that in January Britain sent anti-tank missiles, NLAW, which became very popular in Ukraine.
"We are stepping up and speeding up this assistance… In the coming weeks, we will send you Brimstone anti-ship missile systems and armored vehicles to evacuate people from occupied territories and dangerous areas… We have a new support package of £300 million," Johnson said.
The British Prime Minister added that additional military assistance would also include radars, "to determine the location of artillery aimed at your cities and drones to reinforce your infantry and your offensive forces."
According to Johnson, Britain seeks to strengthen Ukraine to such an extent that no one will ever dare to encroach on it.
