Zelenskyy doesn’t rule out putin using nuclear weapons

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy doesn't rule out that russian president vladimir putin may use nuclear weapons amid the war against Ukraine, as the russians have already shown irresponsibility at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the Australian TV channel Nine Network.

"I can state what is happening in my country and draw conclusions based on this statement, and let everyone draw their own conclusions…

We have very developed nuclear generation, and nuclear power plants in Ukraine. We are very powerful. At first, they seized the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and wanted to knock out all our technicians, not even knowing what to do with it.

Then they captured the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest one in Europe. They fired at it from tanks, from other armored vehicles, they specifically fired at nuclear reactors. They fired at nuclear power plants. Yes, it is protected but Chechens and other militants, their army, the military fired from tanks: they blocked it and just shot at it," he said.

Zelenskyy stressed that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was 6 times larger than the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, and in the event of an explosion there, death would come to all of Europe.

He added that this didn't stop the russians, and it didn't matter whether they were ordered to shoot or just seize nuclear power plants, the responsibility was still borne by the one who gave the order to seize the stations, who "leads these bandits."

"So you can't expect these people, the leadership of the russian federation–both political and military–not to use nuclear weapons. Or they will. Maybe it's like we had with the nuclear generation. And that's why I'm just I can't say that 100% no, they won't use, or will.

Sometimes, it seems to me, they use something without even understanding the result. Or they understand the result, but they don't care. The worst people don't care," Zelenskyy said.
