A missile hit a church in Odesa: children among victims
At least one child died, said People's Deputy Oleksii Honcharenko
A 13-year-old child was among those killed in a missile attack on Odesa on May 2. This was announced by MP Oleksii Honcharenko on Telegram.
"According to preliminary data, a 13-year-old child died and a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured," Honcharenko said.
It's not the only victim of the strike; there are also dead and injured.
As previously reported by the city authorities, the hit was inflicted on the infrastructure of Odesa. The religious building was damaged.
As a result of the russian missile attack on Odesa, the Orthodox Church was damaged.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksii Danilov announced this on the evening of May 2 on the national telethon. He clarified that a ruscist rocket hit the UOC-MP church.
"As for the church of the Moscow Patriarchate, after the ruscist attack, the roof was taken down," said Oleksii Danilov.
At the same time, local Telegram channels broadcast a video of some buildings near the church in smoke, about a few dozen meters away.
