"68th day of russia's self-destruction": Zelenskyy published a new appeal
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has released a new video statement.
The Office of the President reports.
"The 68th day of our defense is coming to an end. The 68th day of russia's self-destruction. Self-destruction in every sense of the word. If once this state had what is called a reputation, now russia does things every day that simply exclude any adequacy," the president said.
"We expect a new sanctions package from the European Union in the near future. This package should include clear steps to block russia's energy revenues. So that the terrorist state is not given a billion euros a day for fossil fuels. But we should also prepare for the next sanctions. In any case, all export and import operations with russia will have to be blocked. Because without that, Moscow will never understand that international law and peace in Europe must be respected," Zelenskyy stressed.
Germany is ready for an immediate embargo on russian oil. Finance Minister Christian Lindner is confident that the consequences will not be too serious.
