Defense Minister Reznikov called on Ukrainians to prepare for several difficult weeks of hostilities

Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov called on Ukrainians to prepare for several difficult weeks of hostilities by preparing for a large-scale offensive by russian troops in Donbas.

This is stated on Reznikov's Facebook page.

"Several extremely difficult weeks lie ahead. The practical implementation of the agreements, training, and logistics will take some time. And russia has gathered strength for a large-scale offensive in eastern Ukraine now. Assistance to Ukraine will grow, but in the coming days, we will need all our resilience and extraordinary unity. The enemy is already aware of its strategic defeat, but will still try to inflict as much pain on us as possible. Unfortunately, we will still lose our soldiers before the victory. There will still be destruction and painful casualties. We have to endure. And we will endure!

For those who fought for a free Ukraine in different eras. For the sake of the defenders of Mariupol, Kharkiv, Izium, Rubizhne, Sumy, Chernihiv, and heroes from other cities who have won and continue to win time for Ukraine. For the sake of future generations. We will liberate our land. We will bring back our people. Ukraine will win! Now we are not the only ones who are sure of that," said the Minister of Defense.

The Minister said that the Ministers of Defense of Ukraine's partner countries during a meeting at the US military base in Rammstein, Germany, expressed full support for increasing the quantity and quality of Ukraine's military assistance.

According to Reznikov, the willingness of partners to supply more modern weapons, which have the caliber and characteristics of NATO member countries, shows the West's belief in the irreversibility of Ukraine's victory over russia.

In particular, the Western partners have already started supplying 155 mm caliber artillery, which is the main caliber of the artillery of the armies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. In the future, this will ensure full interoperability and the possibility of coordinated action between the Armed Forces and the armies of the Allies.

In addition, Reznikov said that during the training of Ukrainian military instructors from NATO member states, Ukrainians for the first time hit the target with new artillery samples and even tips on how to improve the management system. According to the Minister, this made a corresponding impression on Ukraine's partners.
