Zelenskyy: Ukraine is preparing to unblock Mariupol but needs appropriate weapons
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Mariupol can be unblocked through diplomatic or military means, and Ukraine is preparing for this but needs appropriate weapons from international partners.
Zelenskyy announced this during a conversation with the media following the visit of the Prime Ministers of Spain and Denmark.
"Unblocking the city of Mariupol, like other cities, and unfortunately there are many in Ukraine. Unblocking the city of Mariupol is possible in several ways. There is a military way. We need to prepare for it, and we are preparing to be powerful, and we need the help of our partners. It's difficult for us. We need the right weapons."
According to the president, there was an offer to exchange at least the wounded for the wounded. He added that about 400 wounded Ukrainian servicemen were stationed at Azovstal.
The head of state added that the Ukrainian authorities were in constant contact with Ukrainian fighters.
