Marvel plans to suspend sales and licenses for its comics in russia
In the summer of this year, Marvel will discontinue the sale and validity of licenses to publish its comics
The russian BBC reported this.
Marvel has sent a letter to the russian publishing house Geek City and the comic book store Chuk i Gik, announcing its decision to stop publishing comics.
Among them are comics about superheroes Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, and others.
"From the point of view of retail, I can say that it will be a strong blow to the market, tangible, but, admittedly, not fatal.
The fatal blow would now be the departure of Japanese publishers that so far don't seem to plan anything.
But for publishers who have built their program, relying mainly on Marvel, it is usually a devastating blow," wrote the owner of Chuk i Gik, Ivan Chernyavsky in a telegram channel of the store.
