Mass grave in Manhush: russians could bury up to 9,000 Mariupol residents
The satellite recorded a mass grave in the russian-occupied village of Manhush, which is less than 20 kilometers from Mariupol. Up to 9,000 Mariupol residents can be buried in this grave.
The Mariupol City Council reported this on Telegram.
In Manhush, the occupiers could bury between 3,000 and 9,000 Mariupol residents, according to a comparison with satellite photos of the burial in Bucha, where 70 people were found.
In Maxar photos from April 9, the mass grave sector in Manhush is 20 times larger.
The occupiers dug new trenches near Mariupol and filled them with bodies every day throughout April. Sources of the Mariupol City Council report that in such graves the bodies were placed in several layers.
According to cautious estimates, the total number killed by the russian army in Mariupol is 22 thousand people.
"The biggest war crime of the 21st century was committed in Mariupol. It is the new Babyn Yar. Then Hitler killed Jews, Roma, and Slavs. And now putin is destroying Ukrainians. He has already killed tens of thousands of civilians in Mariupol. And this requires a strong response from the civilized world. The genocide must be stopped," the mayor said.
