The local edition of Mykolaiv Pestupnosti.net reports about it with reference to the words of the officer of the 36th Marine Brigade.
Mykolaiv Marines and Azov servicemen went on armored vehicles to the seaport, where the State Border Guard Service and several units of the National Police were stationed. Ammunition was running out there.
The servicemen broke through to the fighters, provided fire cover, and took about 500 border guards and police fighters to the territory of Azovstal.
It is reported that during the implementation of the planned special operation, "the occupying forces were caused serious damage."
Note
Commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy Serhii Volynskyi (Volyna) called on foreign states to urgently carry out an "extraction" from Mariupol to take several hundred military and civilians from Azovstal to a safe place to save them from the russians.
