Starlink intends to open a representative office in Ukraine, Digital Minister reports
Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said that Starlink has begun work on opening a representative office in Ukraine.
Fedorov wrote about this on Telegram.
The Minister noted that at the very beginning of the war he had asked Elon Musk to provide Ukraine with Starlink.
"The next day we received a positive response from him, and a week later, the first 500 Starlink stations with free firmware for Ukraine were in our warehouse.
Today, more than 10,000 stations help the Ukrainian Armed Forces to communicate and carry out special operations, support the operation of critical energy and telecommunications facilities, health care facilities, and even the sowing campaign, as well as bring back to life the occupied territories," Fedorov added.
"Now it is almost impossible to imagine Ukraine without modern Starlink technology. And this technology will become even more accessible to Ukrainians.
After all, today we received another positive news, Starlink has started work on opening a representative office in Ukraine!" the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasized.
Fedorov added that he had instructed the relevant authorities to carry out the necessary procedures for certification, measurement, and allocation of frequencies as soon as possible.
He also promised to inform in detail about the progress of these works.
