The German manufacturer of household chemicals and cosmetics Henkel has decided to cease its activities in russia amid the war in Ukraine.
This is stated in the company's statement.
"Henkel condemns russia's war against Ukraine and violence against innocent civilians. Our priority remains to do our utmost to support our colleagues in Ukraine," the statement said.
The company wants to leave "in order"; 2,500 Henkel employees in russia will continue to work and receive salaries all this time.
"The expected financial impact for Henkel as a result of the planned release is currently impossible to quantify," the company said.

Two weeks ago, Henkel announced that it would continue to work in russia and take further action if necessary.
