Zelenskyy's Office says a package of EU sanctions without an oil embargo is not needed
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva said that the mandatory clause of the sixth package of EU sanctions against russia should be an oil embargo
He said this on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"It is too early to say which points are in the sixth package. Of course, the oil embargo is being discussed. We have reason to say that in one form or another this sanction will be included in the sixth package, otherwise, it is not needed at all," Zhovkva said.
He also suggested that the next sanctions list could include several banks disconnecting from SWIFT and that personal sanctions could be applied.
"We are grateful to the European Union for the five packages of sanctions, but they are currently insufficient and somewhat slow," he added.
