Ukrainians in The Hague: Ukrainian team will take part in international competitions for veterans
The team of the Invincibles Games – Ukraine has arrived in The Hague, where it will take part in the international multi-sport competitions for wounded servicemen and veterans for the next 10 days
Rubryka reports, referring to the Facebook page of the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to them, most of the members of the national team and the support team are active servicemen defending our state in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, and other structures of the security and defense sector.
"However, today they are not only our pride and support but also sports diplomats who will once again tell the world the truth about the war in Ukraine firsthand.
Unfortunately, there are losses in the close Invictus community that hurt.
Among them is Dmytro Sydoruk, a veteran and coach of our archery team who died eight days ago. We also do not have Yulia Paievska, our sister and member of the national team, which is still in the captivity of the russian occupiers.
We know how difficult it was for our team to decide to take part in the competition at such a difficult time for Ukraine. But know, guys, we are with you! The whole of Ukraine is with you!" the statement reads.
