"And more will come," US Embassy on military assistance to Ukraine

The US Embassy in Ukraine noted that the new $800 million military aid package from the United States will not be the last and will continue.

The embassy announced this on its Twitter account after the White House and the Pentagon announced new weapons for Ukraine.

The embassy quoted a video from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as saying that "freedom must be better armed than tyranny," noting that the United States agrees.

"We agree. The scope and speed of 🇺🇸 support to 🇺🇦 defense are unprecedented. Our new $800 million in security assistance includes howitzers, hundreds of armored vehicles, nearly a dozen helicopters, and 40,000 artillery rounds. And more will come," the statement said.

To recap, on April 13, after a telephone conversation between Presidents Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the White House announced the allocation of another $800 million in weapons for Ukraine.

The Pentagon has revealed a detailed list of weapons. The list includes heavy artillery, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, drones, and more.
