Zelenskyy agreed with Biden to strengthen sanctions against russia
During a telephone conversation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Joe Biden agreed to strengthen sanctions against russia.
Zelenskyy announced this on Twitter.
"He continued his constant dialogue with US President Joe Biden. We assessed russia's war crimes, discussed an additional package of defense and possible macro-financial support for Ukraine, and agreed to strengthen sanctions," Zelenskyy said.
Note
On April 13, US President Joe Biden extended a national emergency for a year because of malicious activities by the russian government, which automatically extends sanctions against russia imposed by White House decrees earlier.
