Regional Military Administration spokesperson Ivan Ariefiev wrote about this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.

According to the leader, the house caught fire as a result of the shelling.

"As a result of artillery shelling with phosphorus ammunition in the village of Novodanylivka, Polohy district, the roof of a residential building caught fire.

Units of the SES of the Zaporizhzhia region eliminated the consequences. No one was injured in the fire," the statement said.

The spokesperson also added that the enemy was trying to hold the occupied territory in the Polohy direction.

The enemy conducts air reconnaissance with unmanned aerial vehicles, and fires at the Ukrainian military and the local population from multiple rocket launchers.

The administration adds that today, the threat of the enemy's use of missile weapons on military and civilian infrastructure throughout the Zaporizhzhia region remains high.

In addition, there is a possibility of intensification of actions of the russian occupiers in order to advance to the city of Zaporizhzhia.

To recap, on April 11, a heavy battle took place in the Polohy district of the region, lasting five and a half hours.

Some units of the Zaporizhzhia Territorial Defense Brigade took up certain positions and settled part of the settlement, which was planned to be liberated from the invaders.
