This was announced by the head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi at a briefing on April 13.

The head also noted that the search for the missing was still ongoing.

According to Zhyvytskyi, the number of dead is increasing every day because new bodies are being found.

"With their hands tied, with traces of torture, shot in the head, these are terrible things," said the head of the administration.

He added that many people were missing and that there were people who had been taken prisoner.

Many shot cars are found on the roads and tracks and it is unknown what happened to the people. According to Zhyvytskyi, many injured are in hospitals in the region and neighboring regions.

"Very serious psychological trauma to those who survived the occupation, to people through whose settlements columns of thousands of enemy vehicles passed.

The occupiers fired at everything around them, firing from tanks, submachine guns, grenade launchers at civilians, and elderly people with children. Our people hid in the swamps, on agricultural enterprises, in silo pits," said the head of the region.

To recap, the Sumy region came under fire from the russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Several settlements were occupied, such as Trostianets.

On April 8, Zhyvytskyi said the region was free of occupiers, but the area remained dangerous due to mining.
