Ombudswoman Liudmyla Denisova says about 25 girls raped by the russian military during the Bucha occupation of the Kyiv region have been documented
She said this in a comment to the BBC.
According to the ombudswoman, about 25 girls and women aged 14-24 are currently known to have been repeatedly raped by the russian military in the basement of a house in Bucha.
Denisova noted that nine victims were pregnant.
She said women reported sexual assault on hotlines or bots in the Telegram.
However, it's currently impossible to estimate the scale of sexual crimes, as not everyone is ready to speak.
"Most of them are now seeking psychological support, so we cannot record this as a crime if they do not give us their evidence," Denisova said.
