Borrell: the EU Delegation would resume work in Kyiv
The EU Delegation will resume work in Kyiv.
This was stated by EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell during a trip with the head of the European Commission to Kyiv, according to Spiegel.
EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas is also on the train of a European Commission delegation to arrive in Kyiv on Friday. He will resume work in the Ukrainian capital with a small team.
The EU Delegation was completely evacuated the day after the war began, and since then the core team has been working in Rzeszow in southern Poland.
The ambassador's visit and return should show "what Ukraine is, what the capital, the government, and the missions of other countries are," Borrell said.
According to him, the country is still under the control of the Ukrainian government. Looking at the country during the trip, Borrel said, "You don't feel like you're at war."
On Friday morning, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen released a photo of her delegation heading to Kyiv.
