Ukraine will shoot down Russian military planes in case of attempts to get to Transnistria, Ukrainian General Staff reports

In the event that Russia intends to transfer military aircraft to the territory of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, Ukrainian air defense forces will shoot down air targets.

This was reported to Ukrinform by the head of the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Bohdan Senyk.

"Ukrainian air defense forces will shoot down military and military transport aircraft of the Russian Federation over the territory of Ukraine in case of attempts to transfer them to Tiraspol," the head of the department stressed.

Note

On April 6, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the enemy was trying to improve its tactical position in the Pivdennyi Buh area. The use of the territory of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Moldavian Republic to support the offensive operation in this direction is not ruled out. Tiraspol airfield is preparing to receive russian planes.
