Zelenskyy: Turkey is negotiating the evacuation of the wounded by ships from Mariupol
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that dialogue was underway with Turkey for russia to allow to evacuate wounded from Mariupol.
He stated this in an interview with the Turkish channel Habertürk
"Turkey is one of the mediators. Today we are talking about taking the wounded out of Mariupol. It is too early to say the outcome of this operation. It is open. There is Turkey's mediation mission. Because we plan to do it on Turkish ships," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy noted that as president he should have a dialogue with Russia even after what he saw in Bucha, although he does not have much desire because he understands who he is dealing with.
That is why other countries, in particular Turkey, will be mediators.
