President's Office called Orban's statement about talks in Budapest "media hype"
The Office of the President called the words of Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban that the President of russia vladimir putin agreed to meet with the leaders of Ukraine, France, and Germany in Budapest, "media hype."
This was stated by the adviser to the head of the OPU, a member of the delegation of Ukraine in negotiations with Russia Mykhailo Podoliak, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
"Today, many people make political statements based on their own interests. More often, it is about political speculation and the desire for hype. Especially when we talk about politicians with very specific political views. But the reality is a little different. There are official channels. There is a negotiating group. There is, finally, a key international consultative format, at the level of political advisers, which is taken care of by Andrii Yermak. Any real proposals come only through these channels. The rest is media hype," Podoliak said.
Note
Earlier, Orban said that putin allegedly gave a positive response to his offer to meet in Budapest for a ceasefire.
