Zelenskyy: Russia should forget the phrases “denationalization” and “demilitarization” of Ukraine

At present, the talks between Ukraine and Russia on the "denazification and demilitarization" voiced by Russia are not discussed, the Ukrainian delegation immediately excluded it

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Ukrainian journalists.

"The phrase about demilitarization: we ignored it when I was offered to leave Kyiv. We told them they can forget the phrases 'denazification and demilitarization.' We will not even talk about it."

According to the president, "denazification" sounds simply offensive.

Ukraine can use this phrase toward russia itself, and "as Bucha showed, we were right."

He explained that "denazification" is not a question for Ukraine, and if russia wants, let it ask itself this question "in front of a mirror."

The President also noted the "demilitarization."

The Ukrainian government also "does not accept this story," because "the army in Ukraine can be corresponding to the army that exists in our country, which is able to defend our state."

"We will build a state that is able to defend itself… But we also need security guarantees," the president said.

Zelenskyy also added that Ukraine was ready to join NATO despite threats from Russia, but due to the unwillingness of the Allies to accomplish it, Ukraine is forced to seek security guarantees.
