Zelenskyy made a speech at Grammy Music Awards

On the night of Monday, April 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a video address to the participants and spectators of the Grammy Awards ceremony, calling for support for Ukraine in the war against Russia "in any way."

This was reported by Deutsche Welle and The New York Times.

"What is the strongest contrast to music? The silence of ruined cities and murdered people. Fill the silence with your music. Do it today to tell our story. Support us as much as you can. In any way, but not in silence… Ukrainian musicians wear bulletproof vests instead of tuxedos. They sing for the wounded in hospitals, even for those who cannot hear them. But the music will still break through and be heard," said the President of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy's speech was shown on two huge screens installed on the stage. He spoke in English.

After Zelenskyy's address, American singer John-Roger Stevens, known as John Legend, performed a composition dedicated to Ukraine as a duet with Ukrainian singer Mika Newton. They were accompanied by a bandura player from Odesa Siuzanna Ihlidan.
