Zelenskyy talked about the situation in Mariupol in a speech for Belgian parliament

Speaking to members of the Belgian parliament, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the catastrophic situation in Mariupol and called on them to inspire all other Europeans to do more for Ukraine.

European Pravda reported this.

"Today it is the scariest place in Europe. There is hell. There is a catastrophe that everyone knows about, the entire world. But no one is determined enough to help stop the catastrophe in this city and in other cities of our country," Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that when Ukraine talks about planes, tanks, artillery systems, anti-ship weapons, this is what Ukraine really needs and what the EU countries and NATO countries have.

"Our defenders deserve European companies to finally stop making money with those who are trying to destroy us. Our defenders deserve not to think about the criteria, but to know that Ukraine will be a member of the European Union. Because if they lose, if we lose Mariupol and other Ukrainian cities, there will no strong European Union. Because tyranny will come to take away from you what you own and are proud of," the president said.

Zelenskyy thanked the Belgians, who have already received more than 30,000 Ukrainians who have fled their homes due to the war.

"But it is you, the heart of Europe, who can inspire all other Europeans to do more. To help us expel the occupiers from Ukraine and restore a precious peace. A peace that costs more than anything than any values, than any diamonds. More than any deal with Russia. More than any Russian ship in European ports. More than any barrel of Russian oil," he said.
