Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, more than 400,000 Ukrainians have been forcibly transported from Ukraine to Russia

As Rubryka reports, this was stated in a comment to Euronews by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova.

According to the ombudsman, Ukrainians were deported from our territory to their (Russian – ed.) territory.

"This was done against the will of the people. They were first taken by force to a filtration camp in the Donetsk region. After that, they were taken by bus to Russia. Then they are taken by train to various places, including depressed regions of Russia, such as Sakhalin," she said.

Denisova also stressed that more than 400,000 Ukrainians had already been forcibly relocated to Russia.

She also noted that during the entire period of the Russian-Ukrainian war, no viable humanitarian corridor was created.

The ombudsman also accused Russia of stealing Ukrainian military uniforms and using them to commit crimes.

Denisova stressed that what is happening in Mariupol is genocide.

"The situation in Mariupol is complicated and does not change. Most of the buildings were destroyed by bombs and shelling. More than 20,000 people have already been killed," the ombudsman said.
