The United Kingdom has donated more than 5 million medical devices to Ukraine
The United Kingdom has already handed over 5.29 million units of medical devices and equipment to Ukraine
This was reported by Rubryka with reference to the website of the British government.
According to them, all this will help the country cope with the emergency caused by Russia's military invasion and save tens of thousands of lives.
It is noted that the day before, the 13th cargo with lung ventilation devices and other medical devices was sent to Ukraine.
Items, including vital medicines, dressings, and intensive care equipment, were donated by the National Health Service of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland and delivered to their destination.
According to Health Minister Sajid Javid, the aid is part of the government's broader humanitarian response to the emergency.
"From medicines and equipment to food, generators, blankets, and hygiene kits, we are working with the Ukrainian government, our trusted humanitarian partners, and friends in the region to help those most in need," said British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.
Some of the significant items currently sent to Ukraine include:
- Almost 3,000 adult resuscitators
- About 220,000 packages for wound healing
- More than 550,000 sterile needles
- More than 50,000 packs of bandages
- 1600 units of equipment for ventilators

- About 380,000 packs of drugs, about 2.8 million doses, including antibiotics and painkillers

Since Russia's invasion began, the British government has provided £400 million in humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine and neighboring countries and some weapons.
