Pentagon: Russia is withdrawing its troops from Chornobyl nuclear power plant

Russian troops begin to partially withdraw from the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, where they were based for a long time

AFP reported this.

"Russians are starting to leave the Chornobyl nuclear power plant: the Pentagon," the agency said in a statement.

According to the publication, the details are not reported there.

As Rubryka reported, Russian soldiers seized the Chornobyl nuclear power plant on February 24.

They drove their armored vehicles without radiation protection through the Red Forest, raising clouds of radioactive dust there. Most likely, they received internal radiation.

In addition, Russia is accumulating a significant amount of ammunition near the Chornobyl Shelter, although it denies this, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.

All facilities of the Chornobyl NPP and facilities located in the exclusion zone are under the control of the Russian military.

Today, Ukraine demands that the UN Security Council take immediate measures to demilitarize the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone captured by the occupiers and establish a special UN mission there.
