Ukraine's talks with the Russian delegation will resume online on Friday, April 1

This was announced by the Head of the Ukrainian delegation Davyd Arakhamia on Telegram.

Arakhamia noted that he hoped to prepare in a week for the future meeting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"During the talks in Turkey, we also announced that the leaders of the two countries need to meet. The Russian delegation replied that a more coherent draft agreement should be reached first.

In a week, we will work out what depends on the participants in the negotiation process. And we hope that the presidents of the countries will meet," the head of the Ukrainian delegation stressed.

According to Arakhamia, Ukraine insists that the meeting of the presidents doesn't take place on the territory of Russia or Belarus.

Note.

As Rubryka reported, on March 29, another round of talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations on the terms of restoring peace took place in Istanbul. A number of proposals were made to Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine wants security guarantees from signatory countries that will be stricter than NATO Article 5.

The Ukrainian delegation also suggested that Russia fix in a separate clause of the agreement that the status of Crimea and Sevastopol will be resolved within 15 years in bilateral talks.

And the fate of the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine was decided during direct talks by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
