The situation in Luhansk region is getting worse, occupiers are bringing a lot of equipment, head of region reports
The situation in the Luhansk region is getting worse, Russian troops are bringing a lot of equipment, and Chechen militants have also entered the region.
This was announced by the Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhii Haidai on TV, UP reports.
"The situation is getting much worse. We record that a lot of equipment is being brought in. Most of it is unloaded in Debaltseve and then hauled to our region. Chechens have already arrived in the region to the temporarily occupied territory," he said.
At the same time, Haidai noted that the Russians bring Chechens "as if they were some kind of creatures of hell."
"In fact, our people covered about 50 units of equipment with an artillery volley yesterday, and the Chechen headquarters were shot down. No one escaped alive," he said.
According to Haidai, Chechens are being used as barricades against mobilized people who are being taken from the streets of the occupied territories and sent to fight against Ukraine for fear of execution.
The head of the region expressed the opinion that after the accumulation of equipment the enemy could make a breakthrough in the area of Popasna and Rubizhne.
"We have a lot more shelling now. I think that when enough equipment is gathered, they will try to make a big breakthrough in the area of Popasna and Rubizhne. Now they're throwing freshly conscripted forces to attack, it doesn't work out. That's why everything is being fired on now," he said.
