Russian troops launched an airstrike on Nizhyn in Chernihiv region: there are casualties
As a result of the Russian shelling of Nizhyn on March 29, one person was killed, six more civilians were wounded
The mayor of Nizhyn Oleksandr Kodola announced this on Facebook.
He also noted that one child was among the injured.
"After yesterday's shelling of the city, 6 civilians were injured, including 1 child, one person unfortunately died. 10 private houses were damaged, 3 were destroyed, and cars and garages were damaged," the mayor wrote.
Kodola noted that there was a curfew in the city from 20:00 on March 29 till 05:00 on March 31.
It is also forbidden for people to be on the streets and in other public places, trade facilities.
Authorities are urging citizens not to endanger themselves.
At the same time, it is reported that public utilities are operating normally.
"Currently, the situation in the city is under control. Thank you to our Armed Forces, Territorial Defense, and God!" Kodola wrote.
