Biden will talk to Zelenskyy today: what is known

US President Joe Biden will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday.

This was reported in the White House, the EP reports.

The conversation is scheduled for 5:45 pm outside Kyiv, "to discuss our continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression."

The call comes a day after Biden and other US officials expressed caution over signals that Russia is cutting back on military operations near Kyiv.

"Let's see. I can't say anything until I see their actions. We'll see if they do what they say," Biden told the White House on Tuesday.

Biden noted that in the meantime, the United States will continue to "maintain tough sanctions" and "give the Ukrainian military the opportunity to defend itself."
